CRIMUN was born in Costa Rica as a proposal to bring young people from different backgrounds closer to diplomacy and international debate. Over time, it grew in scope and vision, becoming a multicultural training platform that breaks boundaries and transforms realities.
For Mariana Guevara, a staff member of the project, this model “is no longer just from Costa Rica”. From Mexico, she has been fully integrated into the Academic and translations team, showing that CRIMUN is open to international talent. "Each year it grows more," Guevara says with conviction.

The goal is clear. CRIMUN aims to continue expanding its educational impact while staying true to its essence. The organization seeks to leave a legacy for future generations, create opportunities, listen to new voices, and build an inclusive space for growth.
Inclusion is a core part of this vision. It is reflected in the open invitation to all who wish to participate, whether they are new to the format or come from public or private institutions. This makes the model a more realistic and fair reflection of the world it simulates.
At the organizational level, the staff team is constantly renewed. Skills are evaluated, interviews are conducted, and those with the passion and commitment to build the event are selected. This helps ensure sustainable and professional growth.
The challenges have not been minor. Virtual platforms and international coordination require creativity and strong management. However, every obstacle has strengthened the structure and led to valuable lessons that now make a difference.
CRIMUN has already influenced over 3,000 students and continues to build a global community. The future is already taking shape, as the organization plans for more years of sustained growth, international presence, and strategic partnerships.
