Refugees and the COVID-19 Impact
The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees as a committee will represent CRIMUN before the well-known UNHCR Challenge, in which delegates from everywhere will join to debate on the major problems that forced migration leads to due to different socio-political and economic circumstances. In this way, safeguarding their rights and promoting the well-being of refugees. Following this line, it is how UNHCR within CRIMUN will be dealing with the situation of migration in times of pandemic, specifically that caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus. The causes, consequences and effects of forced migration will be analyzed, as well as the opportunities to improve the conditions of the people involved in these contexts. Proposals for innovative, concrete and realistic solutions are expected to be developed in a commission whose starting point is human well-being.
