Secretary of Academic Quality

Description of the Role:

The Secretary of Academic Quality is responsible for revising all written materials related to the conference. These include study guides, manuals, guidelines, amongst others. Your job is to ensure that all academic materials meet CRIMUN’s high standards. You will be working closely with other secretaries and supervisors to revise all written materials. The revision process will include grammatical, conceptual, and cohesive editing. This role requires high attention to detail, impeccable grammar skills, the ability to work independently and on a team, organizational skills, and the ability to meet deadlines. Ideally, this role will be fulfilled by a college student or higher.

Responsibilities (This list is not exhaustive, simply incompases the main responsibilities)

  • Revise or delegate to the academic team all materials related to the conference. 

  • Edit, revise, comment on ongoing documents with regards to grammar, research level, conceptual reasoning, structure, or technical knowledge.

  • Lead the academic team.

  • Train the academic team.

  • Convoque meetings with the academic team.

  • Attend weekly Secretariat meetings.

  • Attend the All Staff meetings every three weeks.

  • Timely respond to messages on Slack, our main form of communication.

  • Behave in accordance with the CRIMUN Code of Conduct.
