High Level Political Forum Regarding Sustainable Development
The sustainable development looks for building an inclusive, sustainable and fixable future for the planet we live in, to achieve this goals, in 2015, a group of UN leaders analyzed the current reality to later write the resolution A/70/2015 “Transforming our world: the objectives of sustainable developments” which includes 17 goals that must be reached between the periods of 2020 and 2030. These aims interrelate with each other and encompasses many global social issues, including poverty, inequality, environmental issues, and many more. Many countries in the world have fulfilled great improvements working against these problems, yet we can also find cases in which others are left behind in these developments. Despite this, there is a great lack of solutions that aid developing nations and speed up the process of improvement. Because of this, it is quite possible that this development goal will not be accomplished by its 2030 deadline. The High Level Political Forum (HLPF), under the omen of the General Assembly of the United Nations, meets with the purpose of evaluating all the process that was successfully reached by the distinct countries and to discuss how improvements can be implemented in each area, most of all where the process has been insufficient.
